You might try the Hickam Hnager Skatepark. When I lived there they had a couple of full half pipes and some pretty sweet stuff to ride. I left there in '93 though. Last time I talked with an old friend the Hickam Park was still going strong. There's also the old 70's skatebowl down by China town. Changstar can tell you were it's at if it's still there. Full on 70's style!!!

Security is up and down so some days it is easy to get in and other times it is no. Only been to the hanger once or twice so not to sure how to get there now. I heard it is still there though. The skate bowl in China town now has a mini park section in the middle. This was done a few years ago when the City built 8 or so skate parks. Have I met you "big-air?

Great news! The State published an Environmental Assessment (EA) on the 25th of this month. This means that the 30 day clock has started for public comment on the EA supporting the OHV park at Sand Island which includes the long waited for BMX track. The next step after the public comment period is to have the lease agreement approved by the State DNLR land board. This has been a long couple year process that is finally within sight. The exciting combination of BMX racing, motocross racing, pee wee trail, 4 x 4 courses and ATV track melded into one OHV park is more activities in a central Oahu location than I’d ever dreamed of. The combination of diverse use groups, support for kids education in OHV type sports, partnership with State Parks, and support from local businesses and organizations will hopefully turn this location into the premier location for your off road activities. Stay tuned for future developments!

I don't know any hawaiian's but would love to go there. jk

Anyone heard of David Shama****a. "Flyin Hawaiian". He was factory Powerlite in the late 80s. Went to school with him. Used to give him rides from his girlfriends house to his. 15. miles on my motorcycle while he held his bike on the back. Dude could ride a wheelie for miles. Really don't know if and when he lived in Hawaii.

Everyone bookmark this sight for Hawaii info.
Island BMXA

So if things go as planned, I have always wanted to have an international race here. After all we would be central to:Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, and west coast US. The old ABA Worlds would have been a cool race in Hawaii. So how many of you would make the trip to Hawaii to race?
